Columns with amino group bound to silica by C3 alkyl chain are widely used. Compared to this conventional column, Chromasol Amino and Imino columns are unique, extremely versatile in the type of p-,s and t-amino groups bound to silica. Chromasol Amino column has p- and s-amine in C5 alkyl chain. Whereas Chromasol Imino column is based on the covalently bonded polymeric phase with p-, s- and t-amine groups. Both these columns deliver special properties compared to the conventional aminopropyl silane column. They are exotic for strong basic compound separation and features shorter retention times, outstanding peak shape, better selectivity, higher ion exchange capacity compared to the conventional aminopropyl silane column. The aryl amines will have better resolution with these specialty media columns than the regular aminopropyl silane media based column.
Applications with these different unique phases and hardware sizes offer greater choice for better polar selectivity and also serve as a anion exchanger of the basic compounds under reversed phase, normal phase, ion-exchange, or HILIC conditions.
